IGamesView decided to try Lumberwhack out and record it at the same time. They shared with me that they enjoyed playing the game and perhaps their review team will have a look at it as well.

148Apps gave Lumberwhack: Defend the Wild a great review yesterday! 4 out of 5 stars! Thank you 148Apps!
…makes the time pass quickly. With plenty of levels on offer and no in-app purchases in sight, Lumberwhack: Defend the Wild should keep many a tower defense fan happy for a while to come…
For those that do not know about 148Apps. It is one of the biggest mobile game review site out there and they take their reviewing very seriously. They frown upon paid reviews and are very objective. I am very happy that Lumberwhack got their attention!

Lumberwhack recieved a great review from Noobsource yesterday. Thank you Noobsource!
Koloss Interactive is treading some new ground on the pricing front. The side-scrolling/ tower defense market has been dominated by free-to-play apps and in-app purchases to capitalize on the difficulty curves in-game. Lumberwhack costs $0.99 and is worth every penny. It’s a great feeling to be able to play a game and not have difficulty ‘pay-walls’ put up to force you to pay up to progress. Here, you pay at the door and can enjoy the game. This is tower-defense gaming evolved: incorporating features of other titles in the genre and refining them into something addictively pure. Whether you enjoy the graphics, collecting all the animals, or competing for best score on Survival mode, there’s something for the casual and veterans of the genre here.

I just revamped the development blog to a more real website. Make sure to check out the new Lumberwhack page. There is a a new game play trailer and screenshots. The final release is close by!
Only 2 days after I submitted my upcoming side-scrolling defense game Lumberwhack to Apple’s App Store for review, it got approved! I was expecting it to take at least a full week, which seems to be the normal waiting time. I will decide on a final release date in the coming days.
Expect it to be available for download sometime in the beginning of August. I might ditch out a minor update before it goes public.
Also coming up, -a new awesome gameplay trailer, eye-popping screenshots and a website overhaul!
Portable Gaming Region just wrote a preview article about my upcoming game Lumberwhack – Forest Defense.
“One-man indie studio Koloss Interactive is currently wrapping-up the development of its first title, a side-scrolling defense game Lumberwhack: Forest Defense. The goal of Lumberwhack: Forest Defense is to help the forest animals defend their habitat from lumberjacks wielding axes, chainsaws, dynamites, rifles, cutting machines, and other similar tools and weapons.”

Vote for Koloss Interactive at Indies Crash E3 to give me the opportunity to visit the E3 Expo, -the world’s premier trade show for computer and video games.
It would be a great experience and an amazing opportunity to show off my upcoming side-scrolling defense game Lumberwhack.
