Lumberwhack approved -That was quick!
Only 2 days after I submitted my upcoming side-scrolling defense game Lumberwhack to Apple’s App Store for review, it got approved! I was expecting it to take at least a full week, which seems to be the normal waiting time. I will decide on a final release date in the coming days.
Expect it to be available for download sometime in the beginning of August. I might ditch out a minor update before it goes public.
Also coming up, -a new awesome gameplay trailer, eye-popping screenshots and a website overhaul!

Yes! You heard right! Lumberwhack has been submitted to the App Store for review. So get ready to battle the foul-smelling, mustache-loving lumberjacks that have invaded your forest!
It has been a hot and busy summer here in Shanghai. After some unfortunate delays, the new upcoming defense game Lumberwhack has finally been submitted to iTunes and is waiting for approval.

Here is a screen shot showing the Choose Skills menu that is displayed just before a new level is played in Lumberwhack: Defend the Wild. Five skills have been unlocked and is available to choose from. All of the skills are quite different from each other and it is up to the player to choose which one he/she prefers.

Lumberwhack featured on PGR
Portable Gaming Region just wrote a preview article about my upcoming game Lumberwhack – Forest Defense.
“One-man indie studio Koloss Interactive is currently wrapping-up the development of its first title, a side-scrolling defense game Lumberwhack: Forest Defense. End game preview -Bring it on!
The B.A.R (Big Ass Rhino) is outnumbered against the first wave of lumberjacks. Well, he has the coconut throwing monkey and the Back Attack Gator to help him, but it ain't looking to good at the moment is it? One lumberjack has recently parachuted down and bypassed the front line defense. He will go ahead and start cutting down a second tree if nobody stops him.

Lumberwhack in widescreen action
Here is some whacking going on in widescreen (iPhone 5, 16:9). Once again the lumberjacks has managed to cut down a tree. Standing in the back and never shown on a screen shot before is the Jack-Medic and the revolver spinning Jack-Ranger. Both aiding the frenzied front line of lumberjacks. The Smashback Gorilla, Swiftpaw Tiger and the Spitting Cobra is doing there best to defend the forest and hold the lumberjacks at bay.

Free game for monkey name suggestion
Name the main character in my upcoming side-scrolling defense game Lumberwhack! Above you see "the Monkey". At least that is what he has been called so far during my project. All the other animals in the game have names, but not him. That is not fair considering he is the main character the player controls. Help him now by suggesting name ideas as a comment to this post. The author of the name I pick will get a free copy of the mobile defense game Lumberwhack and the honor to have named the main character in the game!*

Check out Lumberwhack game play preview
Here is another screenshot preview from an early level of side-scrolling defense game Lumberwhack. Only two animals has been rescued and unlocked, the Angry Ape and the Smashback Gorilla. The Smashback Gorilla is apparently living up to his name and is just about to smash back at the lumberjacks. The Angry Ape has picked up some Headcracking Coconuts that the player controlled monkey has dropped down on the ground from one of his skills. Making the Angry Ape an effective ranged unit. Though, right now it kinda looks like he is playing quarterback in an American Football team and not in a defense game for iPhone.
